Our Journey

Our work started in December 2010 when we started serving local residents and workers in Leather Lane market quality coffee. We served coffee and had a good time. It’s been a winning combination.

Over the past three years we’ve met thousands of lovely people and made what feels like millions of cups of coffee. If you are into coffee, you’ve quite probably enjoyed a beverage in our shops, picked up coffee-making tips from our baristas or made coffee at home with equipment purchased from us.

Over that time we have added four more specialist coffee shops across central London, established a Coffee School programme and have become a leading retailer of home coffee-making equipment. It’s been a stimulating three years and today we’re taking the next step on our journey by pulling everything under the Department of Coffee and Social Affairs banner.

We still have plenty of work to do. For every one of you that currently drinks quality coffee, there are still dozens of people that are yet to discover it. If you’re an existing customer we’d like to invite you to continue the journey with us. And if we’re meeting for the first time today, hello! We look forward to getting to know you. We think quality coffee is best enjoyed together.
